Broadening Ethics
This collection broadens the ways that researchers and decision makers define and teach ethics and RCR by identifying some of the macro ethical challenges – including social justice, globalization, cross-cultural communication, and diversity – that traditional definitions of ethics tend to ignore. The integration of social and behavioral sciences with ethics and RCR education presents an opportunity for a deeper examination of ethics and RCR. It also provides a greater understanding of why and when ethical violations may occur, thereby strengthening the possibility that these violations may be prevented altogether.
